How we carry this service out

The steps describe what the work covers, not the order it follows.

The tax number comes first

The first requirement for opening an account is a tax number, obtained from the tax office with your passport. The number is also used for the title transfer, for utility contracts and for filing returns — anyone buying property will need it sooner or later.

Choosing the bank and the branch

Banks differ in the documents they ask a foreign customer for and in the internal rules they apply; two branches of the same bank can behave differently. That is why the branch is not chosen at random. Going to a branch used to opening accounts for foreign nationals is often the difference between finishing in a single day and exchanging letters for a week.

Once the account is open

Online and mobile banking are set up, along with your password and verification method — on the day the account is opened we make sure verification works with a foreign phone number. A foreign-currency account, standing orders and an arrangement suited to collecting rent are set up the same day if you need them.
